Cabaret

This dance is a mix of the other styles.  Cabaret has lots of hip lifts and backbends.  Veils and other props are often used.  Some of the best cabaret style in Egypt was in the 1940s where Turkish and Egyptian styles mixed.  Cabaret is used most often in restaurants and for entertaining men.

Cabaret Costumes:

The belly is uncovered.  Dancers wear a matching bra and belt combination.  The skirts are one-layered, double-layered, fish tail, or mermaid shaped.  Coins, fringe, and lots of sequins are used for these types of costumes.
